Vinnies extras
When people think of Vinnies, they generally think of clothes, crockery, toys and books but there is a lot more to a Vinnies centre. When you come in for a look round, you will realise that Narooma Vinnies also carries backpacks, suitcases, watches, puzzles and blankets. All these are quality donations generously given by our community. This week we have an added extra - four paddleboard covers. Pop-in to Vinnies at 9 Canty Street (facing the mid-town council carpark), and you will be pleasantly surprised.
MACS
Montague Art and Craft Society (MACS) held their final school holiday workshop on Thursday. The two-day workshop included tuition in mosaics by Judy Gordon and air dried clay model making with Jude Thompson.
Strict COVID-19 rules were in place during the two morning sessions with one parent on site at all times.
MACS provided all materials and each child took home their finished clay or mosaic works.
"One little girl took home 11 models that she had made," a spokesperson said.
Legacy charity golf day
Narooma Golf Club hosted a Narooma Legacy charity golf club on Friday.
"It was a very successful day with 76 generous golfers taking part," Narooma Golf Club's Dierdre Landells said.
"This is the 10th year we have supported Narooma Legacy and I would like to say a big thank you to both clubs and the many businesses who again donated the many prizes that make it a great day."
Congratulations to Meridie Banson who got a hole in one on the 14th hole.
