Club president Jon Carruthers said patrolling member numbers were low, and hoped newbies would sign up.
"We have had a couple of new members join, but the more we get, the easier it is for the rest of the team to keep the public safe on the beach," he said.
As one of the smaller clubs of the branch, Carruthers said Narooma takes pride in its camaraderie, fun and easy-going atmosphere.
He said this season's patrol roster was flexible, where volunteers can pick preferred hours: "We will try to make those preferred hours possible."
For those interested in helping patrol Narooma's Surf Beach, training officer Ben Bate will run a bronze medallion course in December. Existing medallion holders can re-qualify on November 1.
Most training for the Bronze Medallion and Surf Rescue Certificate (ages 13-15) is completed online with practical components at the club on weekends. Carruthers said the club offers plenty of opportunities.
"You can volunteer as water safety for Nippers, you can compete in carnivals, improve your surf skills on paddle boards, surf skis or even row a surf boat," he said.
The club also provides training to achieve a license to operate IRBs (Inflatable Rescue Boats).

On Sunday, Nippers Rego Day was a huge success with 145 Nippers registered so far.
Most registrations were done on iPads as the club moves towards going paperless.
For those who missed out on Sunday, Carruthers said it's easy and not too late to register. You can find information via the club's website or Facebook page.
Carruthers encouraged parents to get their kids involved.
"They learn water skills that they will carry with them throughout their life," he said.
"It gives parents or carers a piece of mind they are competent in the surf."
Nippers runs for two hours each Sunday morning, starting on November 1.
Board training runs on Friday afternoons from 4pm-5pm. The first carnival where Nippers can compete is on December 13.
