Narooma Croquet Club pays tribute to long time member Delma Taylor

Delma was the club secretary of Narooma Croquet for 10 years as well as being a long time playing member.

Delma had a quiet, poetic composure so it seems fitting that a tribute in the form of a poem will best honour her memory.

A gentle woman certainly was she

Our quietly efficient club secretary,

Amidst the hurly burly of the game of croquet

Club players always remembering Delma today;

No longer keeping meetings at a polite disposition

Pointing out firmly the facts of the constitution,

Reminding us of association rules and regulation

When members strayed from the main narration,

Ensuring records were all in a bibliophile order

Working to the end to ensure a smooth handover;

Croquet greens and milieu will not be the same

In our hearts and minds Delma lovingly will remain.
