This award is in remembrance of past member Ellinor, who was a very active and supportive of Narooma branch, CWA in general and Narooma community. There is no big prize but it recognises a member who has shown the qualities of CWA.
Other members nominate the awardee and Jenny Dickson was the choice in 2020.
Jenny has been an active member for over 20 years and among her other virtues, is a maker of scones extraordinaire. NOT that CWA is only tea and scones.
Jenny's name will go on the Ellinor McNabb honour board displayed in rooms and President Louise Starkie presented her a bouquet of flowers in recognition of her CWA spirit.
When members arrived for the meeting, thanks to David Creed's lawn care and other skills, they were greeted with a neat lawn at the front of rooms.
Thank you David for your donation of time and effort to CWA Narooma. If you need your lawn cared for, try David. Craft group meets in the CWA rooms each Friday from 10am till noon, new faces welcome and members happy to upskill or troubleshoot your crafting.
They also love a good chat. Unfortunately the small choir will not return till COVID regulations allow, but when it does new faces will be most welcome. For anyone who likes to sing, no auditioning. At the same time the drama group, small but fun, more comedy than drama, will hopefully become active again.
For more information ring Louise Starkie 4476 5131 or Sally James 4476 1691 or email cwa.narooma@gmail.com

And at Christmas, we sing a mix of traditional and playful songs celebrating the festive season. We're looking for Covid safe and preferably outdoor opportunities to share our song. Time for Vinnies
Vinnies Narooma has just received a lovely donation of different styles of ladies' watches. It's an amazing array - wrist watches, pendants, rings , bracelets and handbag/key chain watches. Definitely worth taking time to have a good look (and purchase)! However, even as the temperatures warm, Vinnies is still needing donations of good quality blankets. So, when you change over your bedding from winter to summer, please consider donating to Vinnies.
Thank you Skins
The Narooma Skins Golfing Group have generously donated $500 to help feed the community at Monty's Place. The Skins Golfing Group started in 1982 and plays several competitions each year. The group has continued to support many community groups of Narooma. The winners of a recent competition, Rory Kleeman and Troy Beecham, chose to give the donation to Monty's Place.
