Burrewarra Point is a major highlight of this area as it is so prominent, with views to the south well past Moruya and north towards the Tollgate Islands at the entrance to the Clyde River.
The extremely old coastal Banksia trees are a feature of the headland which is very different to the more protected bays where spotted gum forest and burrawang understory mainly prevail.
"We walked north into the fire affected area of Rosedale via small beaches and rock platforms before making way back a little inland, behind holiday settlements and many beach houses," a spokesperson for the walkers said.
Twelve walkers travelled about 9kms, in fairly hot conditions, with the seabreeze reducing its impact.
Barry Keeley was thanked for organising this walk back at the car park.
The second walk led by Steve Deck was a part of the Dreaming Track from Bingi to Mullimburra Point and return.
"This time 10 walkers came along this route, which we try to do at least once in the year as it is such a lovely area, with beach walking, coastal tracks, aboriginal history, shipwreck debri and stunning scenery.
"It was quite warm again and these coastal walks are planned to be done at this time to make use of the seabreeze and it's cooling effect. Inland walking unless you are high in the Snowy Mountains can be a bit hot at this time.
