Club president Jon Carruthers said two sets of competition beach flags were already purchased and remaining funds would go towards materials for the fabrication of three new board trailers to keep recently purchased boards in good condition.

"The trailers are being made by Geoff Newton of South Coast Outdoor Products in Narooma," Mr Carruthers said.

Meanwhile, Narooma hosted the Far South Coast Branch Youth Carnival in "harsh conditions" on Saturday. Mr Carruthers said entries were low with only 16 competitors. He thanked officials and those who helped out on the day.

"We will get to do it again this Sunday for a full branch Nipper carnival," he said.
