A police spokesperson reminded the public there would be no fireworks at Corrigans Beach Reserve, Batehaven.

NSW recorded 10 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday morning, December 31, with no new cases in Wollongong according to the Premier's morning update.

The Victorian Government announced a hard border will be enforced between NSW and Victoria from 11.59pm on January 1.

Police will be on patrol across the Eurobodalla Shire.

Batemans Bay Police reminded residents and holidaymakers on Thursday to secure property after several push bikes were reported as being stolen across the shire.

The spokesperson said bikes had been stolen from residences' backyards and caravan parks.

"Don't be an easy target for thieves," the spokesperson said. "Have your property locked up at all times."

A Moruya P-plater was arrested on Wednesday night, December 30, after he tested positive to a breath test.

Police stopped the 57-year old at Evans Street, Moruya, at 7.50pm, when he tested positive.

Officers took him to Moruya Police Station where further analysis reported a 0.045 BAC.

Police issued him a field court attendance notice for Moruya Court.

Earlier that afternoon at 4.10pm, police stopped a 37-year old driving a Mazda bravo ute.

Police said the Batemans Bay man passed a breath test however allegedly tested positive to methamphetamine and cannabis in a drug test.

Officers took the man back to Batemans Bay Police Station, where his result underwent further analysis.

He was released and issued a 24-hour driving prohibition notice while police wait for further test results.
