It was a tough time for Narooma Public School to reach their fundraising goals throughout the pandemic.

Principal Paul Sweeney said the school crunched over their fundraising numbers earlier this year and reached out for help to hit their target.

Club Narooma pitched in with a $10,000 donation.

Mr Sweeney said the donation allowed the school to "come up to speed with 21st century technology".

"This donation has helped us purchase devices and technology such as interactive smart TVs and learning displays for classrooms," he said.

This donation has helped us purchase devices and technology ...

"We are lucky to have great community partners like Club Narooma to be able to purchase the technology."

The cheque was presented to the school by Club Narooma president Graham Reeve at Friday's assembly (May 14).

There was a unanimous gasp in the hall full of children as school captains Makhenzie Mathie, Jenna Jewell, Josh Lenihan and Jack Wilson revealed the oversized paper cheque of $10,000.
