On Monday, June 21, the Growing Stronger forum will be the first part of a community-led response to address youth well-being in the shire.
Hosted by the Eurobodalla Local Drug Action Team, the event will include key speakers including local young people, headspace Batemans Bay, Eurobodalla Pathways - Directions Health, Campbell Page Youth Services and Deakin University professor John Toumbourou.
There have been long held concerns for the wellbeing of Eurobodalla youth, due to risk-taking behaviours, drug and alcohol use and mental health issues.
The bushfires and the pandemic have made things harder than ever for young people in our community.
The forum will kick off the Growing Stronger project which aims to support bushfire affected youth in the Eurobodalla to achieve their potential; in their families, communities and future careers.
The Growing Stronger forum will begin at 5.30pm on Monday June 21 at the Moruya Golf Club, with registration required at http://bit.ly/RegisterGS.
