Recreational fishers and other water users are invited to attend the free Revive the Clyde public information night at the Batemans Bay Soldiers Club on Tuesday, June 29.

The event is open for anyone along the South Coast to attend and will be hosted by recreational fishing conservation group OzFish Unlimited.
The event will see some of the leading names in fisheries research and local river management take to the stage, along with high profile fishing personalities.
Attendees will hear their thoughts on some of the issues confronting the Clyde River, and learn what is currently being done and can be done to restore this major waterway and protect our native fish, both salt and fresh.
Passionate and knowledgeable speakers will touch on the projects managing riverbank erosion, plastic pollution, threatened species, fishing and fish conservation.
The talks will also highlight how individual recreational fishers and the community can play their part on improving this waterway.
Fishing writer, Eurobodalla shire angler and OzFish Ambassador Steve Starlo Starling will be presenting on the night.
He said recreational fishers have an important role in being part of the solution for the Clyde.
"The Clyde is one of the biggest and most important river systems in this part of the world," Starlo explained.
"Because of its role as a vital breeding ground and nursery area for so many species, its health impacts fish populations well out to sea and up and down the coast - far beyond its mouth.
"I've watched the Clyde change quite a bit in my lifetime.
"Some of those changes like the removal of netting and the creation of small sanctuary zones - have been positive, but others have had detrimental impacts.
"We need to do our bit to reverse those negative impacts, and i'm pleased to report that some great work is being done in this regard."
Speakers on the night include: Byron Dale - South East Local Land Services, Jillian Reynolds - NSW DPI Fisheries, Steve 'Starlo' Starling - Recreational fisher and OzFish Ambassador, Adam Martin - Australian Recreational Fishing Foundation, Angus Fanning - OzFish Unlimited, Bernadette Davies - Eurobodalla Shire Council.
The free community event will be held at the Batemans Bay Soldiers Club at 6pm.
Capacity is limited. Canapes will be provided during the evening and refreshments will be available during and after the talk to discuss the information with fellow attendees.
