The experienced midfielder was banned for one match for striking Melbourne forward Tom McDonald and sat out the Lions' grinding 23-point victory against North Melbourne in Hobart last Saturday.

But the 32-year-old will not be changing anything about his game and he believes an aggressive style is needed when Brisbane face Geelong in a blockbuster clash at the Gabba on Thursday night.

After bowing out to the Cats in a limp preliminary final effort last October, the Lions' physical mentality was questioned.

"Every player wants to play on the edge, and at times you cross that line and you get found out and that's what happened to me against Melbourne," Zorko told reporters on Monday.

"That's the balance every team is trying to find at the moment in how far they can push their limits.

"That's one area we've certainly made leaps and bounds this year.

"It was certainly questioned early the year in how close we play to that line and I think we've answered that times this year.

"We know Geelong's going to bring that, they have for a number of years."

It will be the second match between the premiership contenders this year - the Cats winning a controversial thriller by a point in round two.

That defeat left the Lions slumped at 0-2 but they have managed to win nine of their past 11 games since to be fourth on the ladder - a spot below the Cats.

Zorko is expected to be Brisbane's only inclusion for the match, with young midfielder Jarrod Berry to be eased back through the VFL having not played since round five due to a calf injury.

Geelong will be without star midfielder Mitch Duncan, who injured his knee in their after-the-siren win against the Western Bulldogs.
