Southeast Racing Pigeon Combine
The Southeast Racing Pigeon Combine race scheduled for Sunday was postponed until Monday because of forecast unsuitable weather.
"On Monday the weather was perfect for only 179 pigeons to race with some flyers taking the opportunity to rest their birds," club spokesperson Barbie Magrin said.
"It was a close result with rivals Muz and Gozo having only three seconds between first and second."
Mario 'Muz' Magrin came in first with second going to Manny 'Gozo' Byrne and John Mette third.
Vinnies - winter warmers
Vinnies Narooma is so grateful for good quality donations at any time but in winter, warm clothing and blankets are even more welcome.
The weather has turned cold with biting winds so the demand for warm items of clothing and bedding has become more acute.
Please, think of Vinnies Narooma when tidying up drawers and cupboards.
Now, they won't keep you physically warm, but some of the jewellery and watches Vinnies has on display will certainly warm your heart and bring a sparkle to your eyes when you purchase them. Come in and have a look.
