Mr Noormets-Booth who started a gofundme page and actively worked to raise money at this year's Narooma Anzac Day commemorations was able to achieve his goal and now Allan Forster's grave has a headstone.

It was while he was overseeing the installation of Mr Forster's memorial that Ian literally stumbled over his next project.

"Not far from Allan Forster's memorial I discovered a grave that was clearly a WW1 veterans, it had lost the name plaque and was in dire need of repair work," Noormets said.

"That got me researching and trying to find out what I could about some of older service veterans graves," he said.

Since then Mr Noomets has found and documented 93 graves of service personnel at Narooma Cemetery and is currently in the process of adding the GPS (Global Positioning System) coordinates of each grave to the Find a Grave website.

"It's easy, I take a photo and get the GPS coordinates and load it up on to the website through the Find a Grave app on my iPad.

"I've called my project 'A Place in Time' and I'm on a mission to record as much as I can about local service personnel and veterans and record it on the internet," he said.

The Find a Grave website has information on more than 180 million graves in half a million cemeteries world wide that enables people around the world to visit the resting places of family members.
