Narooma Public School's Olivia Dudley was awarded Best Regional Artist and also won People's Choice Award in the Australian Conservation Foundations Wild at Art competition.
More than 3000 budding artists, aged 5-12, picked up their paint brushes and pens to help raise awareness of Australia's threatened species. The competition was narrowed down to 70 finalists.
Judges said there was an unprecedented level of involvement this year and the results were extra special.
Olivia was thrilled to see her painting take out two top prizes.
She said her inspiration was taken from the outside world and nature.
Judges commended Olivia on the emotion showed through her painting and emotions it evoked in each viewer.
Olivia said she enjoys painting animals, waves and landscapes, and one day hopes to see her work in a big gallery exhibition.
She also has a passion for writing and aspires to become an author and illustrator.
Olivia thanked her art teacher, Lynn, for her amazing encouragement and guidance. She also thanked her Nanny Dot and Poppy Michel for their support as well as her number one fans, Mum and Dad.
