None of the cases are in the Bega Valley with four of the new cases centred around Queanbeyan, while the fifth case is in Yass and linked to a known case.
Health officials said the four cases near Queanbeyan, one in Queanbeyan, one in Murrumbateman and two in Jerrabomberra are under investigation.
There have been a total of 409 cases since June in the Local Health District.
There are no further venues of concern in the Bega Valley or reported cases overnight, but residents are urged to remain vigilant for cold and flu-like symptoms with testing a priority.
From Monday, the SNSWLHD will no longer include casual venues of concern in media releases.
