A "creep" who created almost 30 different profiles to cyberstalk a woman for years before asking a 13-year-old girl for sex on social media has avoided jail.

The man - who is now 23 - was fixated with a former childhood friend after relocating from NSW to Queensland and began sending her Facebook messages in November 2015, the District Court heard.
Overall he made 25 different profiles to send messages for almost four years from the age of 16 to 20 despite the woman's pleas to stop and being repeatedly blocked.
"She would tell you expressly 'leave me alone, stop harassing and stalking me ... go away'," Judge Jodie Wooldridge said on Wednesday.
"At one stage she told you that you were a creep."
During a three-week period in 2016 he bombarded her almost daily with messages that became sexual in nature.
The woman - who was aged 17 to 21 at the time - created different Facebook profiles to avoid contact but to no avail.
She then contacted members of his family, asking them to stop him.
The woman even sent him a legislation excerpt showing what he was doing was a criminal offence.
She contacted police in September 2019 after he sent the message: "Hey, wanna f***?"
The woman told officers she felt harassed and was concerned that he may turn up at her home and harm her in some way.
The messages stopped in September 2019 because his family changed log-in details and he could no longer access Facebook.
The cyberstalking had caused "considerable emotional harm, hypervigilance and paranoia" to the woman, crown prosecutor Siobhan Harrison said.
The man had a "romantic fixation" with the woman since they had been childhood friends, his defence said.
"Anyone can recall with affection ... the first crush," his defence said.
"The effect psychologically and emotionally might be some explanation why it persisted despite the rejections."
Eight months later in June 2020, the man - who was 21 at the time - sent Snapchat messages to a teenage girl who told him she was "legally underage".
"Among the number of concerning excerpts from that conversation ...(include) 'it's fine as long as we are not dating' and 'BTW how tight is your pussy'," Ms Harrison said.
After referring to his penis size, the man asked the girl to meet for sex before she blocked him.
The girl's parents did not discover the messages until three months later and contacted police.
His defence said the offending was linked to the man's low intellect and learning difficulties.
After pleading guilty, the man was sentenced to 15 months' jail - suspended for two years - for using electronic communication to procure a child under 16.
The man received two years' probation under strict conditions for unlawful stalking with a 10-year restraining order also issued against him.
