In Western Queensland, a different type of tourism is booming, paleo-tourism.

Its a term you might not be familiar with, but it more or less refers to tourism that involves interacting with dinosaur remains.

A few towns in the region have banded together to form the Australian Dinosaur Trail, which will take you through the largest collection of our dinosaur fossils, the Australian Age of Dinosaurs Museum in Winton, Kronosaurus Korner in Richmond and the Eromanga Natural History Museum. Robyn Mackenzie, the director of Eromanga Natural History Museum, told the ABC of the increasing demand: “We had over 200 per cent increase from March [2021] compared to 2019. Everyone is completely blown away and just love what they see and rate it as one of their best experiences.”
