Back to the Future DeLorean and Elvis' car for sale

The iconic line from blockbuster Back to the Future is as well-known as the time-travelling DeLorean itself.

The car featured in all three Back to the Future movies, and this week a collector's version of the famous car is up for sale, along with a 1953 Chevrolet Pickup used in the Baz Luhrmann movie Elvis.

No matter whether you want to time travel (Note: ACM does not guarantee time travel is possible), or step back to the 50s with an iconic pickup, car and movie buffs will be delighted.

The vehicles are among a collection of 370 classic cars going under the hammer this Saturday through Lloyds Auctioneers and Valuers.

Current bid for the Back to the Future 1982 DeLorean DMC-12 conversion is $45,000.

"This vehicle is ready to get up and go and is sure to be a head turner, decked out with some of the highest quality props, and made to be almost an exact replica from the Back to the Future film," Lloyds chief operations officer Lee Hames said.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for all movie buffs to own their own piece from an iconic movie everyone knows and loves."

The Elvis vehicle, one of the main cars driven in the film, has a current bid of $18,602.

"Imagine driving and owning the vehicle that Austin Butler drove in the Elvis film, this opportunity doesn't present itself every day, so bidders need to get in quick," Mr Hames said.

For those not into a Hollywood drive, other classic cars up for sale include a 1942 Willys Jeep (current bid $18,000), a 1966 Plymouth Barracuda (current bid $6100), a 1979 Chevrolet Stingray (current bid $17,000) and a pink coloured 1937 Chevrolet Uplander (current bid $31,000).
