No one onboard the aircraft was injured and damage to the plane is being checked.
"It landed normally and is being inspected by engineers," a Qantas spokesperson said.

"One of our flights bound for Auckland returned to Sydney this morning following a bird strike shortly after take-off," the spokesperson said.
The Boeing 737 had flown around 30 minutes towards its destination, Auckland, New Zealand, on the morning of June 7 when the bird struck.
Flight QF141 took off just after 7am but landed in the NSW capital two hours later after flying over the Tasman Sea and circling the city's north a number of times.
The Qantas spokesperson said that all customers will be re-accommodated on alternate flights "as soon as possible".
"We appreciate our customers' understanding and apologise for the inconvenience."
