River of Art is proud to present Baranguba at the Yuin Theatre, Bay Pavilions, on October 4-5.
River of Art festival chairwoman Leanne Joyce said Baranguba brought together the traditions of Aboriginal storytelling through dance and song with contemporary digital art, video projections and animations.
"The performance is a unique fusion of modern technology and traditional practices, conveying a story of resilience, pride and strength that will touch the hearts and souls of all who attend," she said.
Performed by the Djaadjawan Dancers, accompanied by the technical artistry of creative director Scott Baker and motion graphics artist Duncan Irving, and technical team Visumotus, Baranguba was expected to be a highlight of the 2024 River of Art program.

The Djaadjawan Dancers are a traditional female Aboriginal dance group from the Yuin Nation.
The group includes girls, women and Elders from multiple generations from Wallaga Lake, Narooma and La Perouse in NSW.
Since their formation in 2015 by Walbunja woman Sharon Mason, the Djaadjawan Dancers have earned their place as one of the most sought after Aboriginal cultural performance groups in southern Australia.
"We are grateful to the Djaadjawan Dancers for sharing this story with us and for the vision of the creative team, taking this performance to a whole new level," Ms Joyce said.
