A player for the Brisbane Broncos has been charged with serious driving offences after he was allegedly found to be under the influence of drugs when he crashed his car.

Ezra Mam, 21, was driving a Ford Ranger utility on Simpsons Road in Bardon, Queensland when he allegedly crashed head-on into a Toyota Camry at 5.20pm on October 18.
Queensland Police said a roadside drug test was administered and Mr Mam returned a positive result.
He was detained for further testing at a hospital and returned another positive result, investigators said.

Police said the second drug test was returned on November 12 and Mr Mam was arrested on November 13.

He was charged with driving while a relevant drug was present in his blood and driving a motor vehicle without a driver's licence.
Mr Mam has also been issued a traffic infringement notice for failing to maintain control of the vehicle.
He is expected to appear at Brisbane Magistrates Court on December 16.
