Since the consultation period for the Batemans Bay Masterplan is over, Eurobodalla Shire Council is moving on to the Moruya Riverside Park and Reserves Plan of Management and Master Plan.
Council staff is in the process of developing a draft plan, and they're asking residents to tell them how they use the riverside and what's important to them.
While it's an opportunity for locals to do some blue-sky thinking, council invites questions about whether there's enough exercise equipment and if it's in the right place, whether there's wasted space, or whether a river pool is desirable.
And it's not just infrastructure being considered by the master plan, but environmental conservation too.
Along with sports and recreation, the reserve is home to several threatened animal species, such as the grey-headed flying fox.

Flora will also be taken into account, with native plant life in the riparian zone being progressively revegetated.
The river and surrounding wetlands have also been central to Bugelli-Manji culture from time immemorial, and the council is seeking feedback on how to preserve that heritage.
To gather community views and ideas, council is holding three in-person sessions:
- a pop-up stall to be held at Moruya markets on Saturday, July 19 from 8am-1pm
- a drop-in session to be held on Monday, July 21 at Moruya Library from 5-8pm
- a pop-up stall to be held at SAGE markets on Tuesday, July 22, from 3-5pm
Anyone unable to attend the real-world sessions can still share their thoughts by completing an online survey.
Once the council has wrapped up the task of talking to the people, a draft document will be created that will once again go on public display.
