Newly-released security footage shows an alleged gunman opening fire on a suburban home as police search for the shooter and their driver.

The video, shared by NSW Police, shows a man approaching a house on Davidson Avenue in Concord, Sydney, at 1.10am on July 3 and firing a number of shots.

"The passenger of the vehicle [shot] at the facade of the house with a high-powered rifle," police said.
The bullets smashed glass panels on an upstairs balcony, CCTV footage showed.
There was no one home at the time of the shooting, and there were no reports of injuries, police said.
Almost three months after the alleged public shooting, police are appealing to the community for information.
Detectives are searching for two men who were seen driving in a white GV80 Genesis SUV, before swapping to a Lancer after allegedly setting the SUV alight.
The SUV was found on Stuart Street in Burwood engulfed in flames. Fire and Rescue NSW extinguished the blaze, but the car was destroyed.
Detectives are urging anyone with information about the identities of the two men seen in the CCTV to contact the police.
