Wollongong law firm Kells has many reasons to celebrate. Along with unveiling a new website, marking 20 years serving the community as Kells and celebrating the first anniversary in the new office it has promoted five lawyers across the firm. Jarrad Downs and Ashleigh Barry are the two new senior associates, Nicki McNamara a special counsel and Mark Evans and Mitchell Micevski new associates. Managing partner Paul Magagnino said they had all shown exceptional work ethic, technical ability and teamwork. Meanwhile two Kells lawyers are finalists in the 2019 NSW Women Lawyers Achievement Awards at Dockside Darling Harbour on August 23. Special counsel Karena Nicholls is a finalist in the Regional Lawyer of the Year, Private Practice Lawyer of the Year and Mentor of the Year Award categories. Lawyer Natalee Davis is a finalist for the Rising Star of the Year and Regional Lawyer of the Year awards. The awards are designed to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions and achievements of outstanding women lawyers, mentors and firms who have achieved excellence in their area of practice, while advancing opportunities for women in the law. 2019 has also seen partner Amy Harper participate in the Stars of Wollongong Dance For Cancer and raise $22,000 for the NSW Cancer Council. Kells Blessing Bag was launched recently for staff to donate a large food hamper to the Wollongong Homeless Hub each month. Kells has six partners and 65 staff across five offices in the Illawarra and Sydney. Read more:
