This follows three separate incidents of women being approached by a naked man on beaches at Brou and Kianga in recent weeks.
In those cases, police have identified a person of interest and say this latest incident is unrelated.
On Wednesday, a North Narooma resident was driving home on Rifle Range Road on Wednesday when a nude man was spotted walking down towards the quarry area and possibly Buckridge look-out.
He was questioned by the resident and another passer-by but they said he was unresponsive and simply kept walking down the road in the pouring rain.
Police questioned the man on nearby Appelby Road.
Officers said the 40-year-old Narooma man was cooperative and voluntarily agreed to go with them to undertake a mental health assessment.
