The youth organisation, one of the largest in Australia, has a network of 58 clubs throughout NSW, but this innovative approach to service delivery will allow programs and police youth case management to be provided to a wide range of locations on the NSW far south coast.
PCYC regional general manager Anthony Cincotta said the service would involve running of activities and police youth case management at a number of locations, including Eden, Merimbula, Bega, Narooma, Moruya and Batemans Bay with Police officers stationed at Narooma and Bega.
“Volunteers are urgently needed to help run activities, including sports and social programs, and to help with administration,” he said.
People aged 18 and over are invited register as a volunteer on Thursday, November 21 at the Eurobodalla Shire Council offices at Moruya between 10am and 4pm or on Friday, November 22 at the Bega Valley Shire Council offices between 10am and 4pm.
