The new portable flooring system will protect the sport surfaces and make the venues suitable for event equipment including stages, tables and seating, Cr Brown said.
“The flooring system is on its way and residents will shortly be able to utilise these sporting facilities for a variety of private and community events,” he said.
He said council has reviewed the hire fee to reflect the new facilities. The proposed hire fee for the new flooring system is $480 per use (up to a week) and is based on whole of life costs.
“Residents are now invited to provide feedback before the proposed fee is adopted by council. The proposal is on public exhibition at Eurobodalla libraries and on council’s website. To make a submission, go to www.esc.nsw.gov.au and click on Have your say,” Cr Brown said.
Submissions close on 23 December 2013.
