AROUND 30 unlocked vehicles parked in the Kianga area last Monday night where entered and about half of those had items stolen from inside.
Police identified and took action against three juvenile offenders with much of the property returned to owners who reported it stolen.
Thefts from unlocked vehicles by opportunistic thieves is an ongoing issue in the Narooma Bermagui area, with police in Bermagui even initiating a publicity campaign for owners to secure their vehicles at all times.
Booze thefts
CAMPERS in the Narooma area are being warned to secure their possessions after several cases of theft of alcohol from coolers at campsites in Narooma and Mystery Bay in recent days.
Low ranger
POLICE stopped a car on Wallage Lake Road, Bermagui at 8pm last Monday charging the 60-year-old driver with low-range drink driving.
Cannabis find
POLICE based on information received stopped and searched a 27-year-old Narooma man locating 7 grams of cannabis on his person. He was given a court attendance notice for possession.
