A BERMAGUI man was stopped for a random breath test in Bunga Street, Bermagui at 10pm on January 14.
The 28-year-old man returned a positive reading and was subsequently charged with high range PCA.
He was also charged with the offence of never holding a driver’s licence.
Drug seizure
POLICE located a cannabis crop in the Biamanga National Park after receiving information from the public.
Four police officers removed approximately 45 cannabis plants from the location in the Nutleys Link area near Bermagui last Thursday.
The plants were at various stages of growth.
Investigations continue and police are seeking any information from the public which may assist.
Cranky customer
A WOMAN was refused service at a Narooma service station on Monday, January 13.
The 58-year-old local woman was intoxicated and was asked to leave by staff. The police were called when she refused to leave.
Police arrived and directed her to leave but she still refused. Officers then forcibly removed her from the premises, arrested her and conveyed her home.
Barragoot bandit
A BLACK Nissan Navara was broken into between 12.30pm and 1pm on Wednesday, January 15.
The vehicle was parked on the south-east side of Barragoot Swamp Bridge near Bermagui.
Binoculars and a Tom Tom GPS unit were stolen.
A cigarette butt possibly used by the offender has been seized and sent for forensic examination.
Bridge jumpers
POLICE were called to the Narooma Bridge last week when two young persons were seen jumping from the bridge into the water.
Police spoke with the youths who were visiting the area from Deniliquin.
Police remind the community that it is an offence to jump from the bridge and individuals can incur a $500 fine regardless of age.
Icy theft
TWO eskys were stolen from a camp ground in Dalmeny between midnight on Saturday and 7am on Sunday.
Wallet pinched
A WALLET was stolen from an outdoor table at a Narooma resort between 8am and 1.30pm on Wednesday, January 15. The wallet has not yet been recoverd.
Not stopping
A MALE tourist from the ACT was fined recently for failing to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Willcocks Avenue and Princes Highway, at the Narooma Plaza.
The fine was for $304.
Plate theft
UNKNOWN persons stole the registration plate off a boat trailer parked in Ginns Street, Bermagui.
The theft occurred between January 1 and 8. The registration number is S51849.
