UNDER new coach Rowan Hawkey, the Narooma Lions have started training. Coach Rowan, is excited to have the opportunity to coach the Narooma Lions for the 2014 season. This is Rowan’s first year as coach. President Bruce Day, has great confidence in Rowan’s ability to help the Lions move up the ladder this year. This year the club is fielding, a senior side, reserves (development), under 16’s, under 13’s and an inter-club under 10’s.

The training nights are Tuesday and Thursday at 5.15 at Bill Smyth Oval for the seniors, reserves, and under 16’s. Under 13’s and under 10’s will start training at a later date.
Narooma’s first game is on Saturday, April 12 against arch rivals Bermagui at Bermagui.
Coached Rowan Hawkey and under 16’s coach Mick Clothier, urge all players to attend training.
The club is still looking for team managers for all grades and an under 13 coach. Anyone interested in these positions contact Bruce Day. Coach Rowan has indicated that a few ex Narooma Lions players are keen to return to the club, this can only help the development of the good younger players the club already has.
