THE Bermagui-based chapter of Cancer Research Advocate Bikers (CRABS) will host their third annual Bermagui Bike Show this Saturday, March 22.

The bike show held on the Bermagui Foreshore Reserve, Main Street Bermagui, usually attracts a lots of bikes and a big crowd.

Bermagui CRABS President Peter Cox said the day would cater for everyone. “The day will be an enjoyable day for everyone- we are sure that there will be lots of fun for families and motorbike enthusiasts. We had fantastic feedback from our two previous bike shows and this year will be bigger and better,” he said.
In all, there will be judging of bikes in 13 classes catering for a wide range of enthusiasts.
There will also be food and drink outlets and stalls carrying motorcycle related accessories and clothing, while the latest CRABS tinny raffle will also be drawn.
For the enthusiasts, there will be numerous categories for owners to show off their precious metal. Great prizes will be given for the best custom bike; best British; best Japanese; best American; best Euro; best trike; best rat bike; best overall paint; best vintage; best veteran; best sidecar/outfit; best lady rider and; people’s choice
A highlight of the day will be the presence of the Shannons Insurance “Super Rig” – a semi-trailer that literally unfolds to transform itself into a 24-metre long, 8-metre wide and 8-metre high super automotive expo with automotive footage on large plasma TV screens; Sony Playstations; memorabilia and a host of other things for enthusiasts of all ages.
Also on the day will be the draw of the raffle for a brand new centre console “tinnie” and trailer and trailer with Mercury outboard and new fishing and safety gear.
“We are a community organisation and this is a great opportunity for riders, enthusiasts and families to enjoy a special event in the magnificent beachside setting provided by scenic Bermagui,” Mr Cox said.
“There will be plenty of activities for kids as well as food and drink stalls.”
As with all CRABS activities, every cent raised on the day will be going to Cancer Council NSW and CAN Assist.
In fact, one of the highlights of the day will be the presentation to Cancer Council NSW of a cheque for $20,000.
According Mr Cox, “CRABS have now raised more than $150,000 for the good causes we support. Thanks to our wonderful community and the hard work of all of our volunteer members, that number continues to grow.”
