Sunday was the end of season clean-up day which was hugely productive. The storerooms were sorted and swept out, the gear hosed off and put away, toilets hosed out and restocked, the kitchen, bar and patrol room given a freshen up, as well as a stocktake of the clothing and uniform stock. Thank you to all of those who helped out gave up their Sunday and got their hands dirty.
Thanks again to Rapley's Midtown Quality Meats who generously donated a pork and beef spit roast for the workers with delicious hot gravy supplied by the Raw Prawn Bistro at O'Brien's Hotel. The smell of the roast cooking was a great motivator for many to keep on going until lunchtime, and they were not disappointed - as was indicated by the lack of leftovers.
