The fish were coming off the long-liner Salvatore that had been working south of Bermagui in the days before.
While there were some nice fish up to 50kg, the skipper said the fishing was tough.
We hear the bit of a kingfish bite on Friday tapered out with just a few small kingfish just on size landed at Narooma over the weekend.
Meanwhile, proving there is always something out there is Benny Bolton from Charter Fish Narooma who took his clients out to look for marlin and tuna on Friday.
There were none, but they got some tasty deep-sea fish including blue-eye cod. Client Evan Spary of Sydney is pictured holding a nice blue eye.
Finally, we got sent a pic of 12-year-old Narooma local Cameron Spooner with his 52cm dusky flathead caught on a hand line at the wharf next to The Inlet café on Wagonga Inlet.
Dash from the Narooma Ocean Hut Compleat Angler and his mate Hippy went fishing in the Tuross River and they both found it tough with the inlets and rivers starting to cool now.
