They encountered around 16 marlin and tagged four fish.
Those targeting marlin recently have had the most success either towing a skip bait or switch baiting, which entails getting larger size live bait.
Once a marlin is raised with a teaser lure, the livebait is thrown out at the marlin hopefully resulting in an exciting hook up.
Just how long will this hot marlin bite continue?
Conditioned have improved again today after a flush of green water earlier in the week.
Scott Bradley at Bermagui Bait & Tackle has been monitoring the sea surface temperatures.
“Nice to see a solid front of the right water pushing right back onto the shelf from Tuross to the bottom of the 12 Mile Reef,” he reported on Facebook today.
“Temps on this one are always a little overstated so ignore the 25' and we can settle for the 23'-24' that is actual out there this morning. Few fish getting about this morning so it should be a good day, the cooler green stuff has been swept south pretty quickly.”
