Cooma was attacking the Narooma girl’s line relentlessly for 20 minutes but the girls hung in there and managed to hold them out, so the score remained at six nil at half time.

It was disappointing to Narooma and Devil supporters that the Reserves had to forfeit. Narooma had about 10 loyal lads who battled on.
“They were dedicated players and we thank them for trying,” Devils president Jaimie Wright said.
“But as for the others who let us down, well what can I say?” he said.
Then first grade took to the field and a great kick by Clint Wright that was taken well by Joel Lanski who scored between the post, putting Narooma on the board with six, Cooma nil.
Another good kick by Clint Wright saw Harper score. The try was converted Narooma 12 Cooma nil.
The penalty score against Narooma was atrocious in the first half just before all hell broke loose and a couple of Narooma players were flattened.
One player from each team was sent to the sin-bin for 10 minutes.
Cooma scored right on half time making the Narooma 12 and Cooma 4.
Coming back onto the field after half time young Riley Hextell scored a great try between the posts and Harper converted. Narooma 18, Cooma 4.

Two minutes later Joel Lanski scored his second try – Narooma 22, Cooma 10.
A great round the corner pass from Todd Wright to his brother Clint enabled Clint to run half the length of the field and score. Narooma 26 to Cooma 10.
Clint Wright then took the opportunity to add to Narooma’s score by kicking a field goal. Narooma 27, Cooma 10.
Sixty five minutes into the game Cooma scored and then again in the 68th minute. Narooma 27 to Cooma 20.
Cooma was coming back with vengeance and scored another try. Cooma 24, Narooma 27 which was the final score.
