Storm damage: Saturday night’s wild storm kept emergency officials busy in the Narooma area, with several trees down. Police and the fire brigades responded to a downed tree Ballingalla and Ross streets, Narooma at 10.11pm, then on the Princes Highway between Narooma and Dalmeny at 2.30am that blocked both lanes and then again at Dignams Creek at 4am.

Midtown accident: A 29-year-old female driver allegedly pulled out from Canty Street, Narooma in front of a 27-year-old male motorcycle rider at 3.45pm Thursday. The rider swerved but went down and was treated for minor abrasions by paramedics on the scene.
Drug charges: A 24-year-old man stopped for a random breath test on Mort Avenue, Dalmeny was found to have an expired license for a second time in a week. A search of his vehicle also revealed a small knife, a glass pipe containing a crystaline sunstance, as well as unprescribed pills and a small amount of marijuana. He was charged with driving unlicensed, possessing the knife in a public place and possession of the illicit substances.
Drink drivers: A 24-year-old local man was charged with special range drink driving after he recorded a reading of 0.031 while driving on P-Plates through Bermagui at 5.40pm Tuesday. A car with ACT plates was stopped in Narooma after crossing the centre line on the Princes Highway at 11pm last Sunday. The driver was charged with low-range drink driving after recording 0.079.
Cash theft: A wallet lost in Bermagui last Friday was found by a Victorian man at a service station but he was seen on footage removing several hundreds of dollars of cash from the wallet before handing it in to the attendant. Police tracked down the owner of wallet who informed them of the missing cash. After viewing the footage, police located the Victorian man who agreed to give the cash back. Police remind everyone it is theft to remove cash from belongings before handing them in.
Break attempt: Unknown persons attempted to break into a business on The Flat, Narooma between 5pm Sunday and 8am Monday. Anyone with any information should contact Crimestoppers 1800 333 000.
Skate burn-out: Police are investigating a white Holden utility seen doing burn-outs at the Bermagui skate park at 6.25pm Saturday.
Non payment: The driver of a silver sedan did not pay for fuel pumped at a Dalmeny supermarket at 12.15pm Saturday.
Items stolen: A tripod was stolen from a campsite at the Dalmeny campground overnight on Thursday. A bag of personal belongings was stolen from next to a car on Lakeview Drive, Wallaga Lake between 4pm and 7pm on Thursday.
