Ayers was one of three Group 16 players selected, the first to represent the Narooma Devils Rugby League Club at such a level. He debuted in the second row where he played a gruelling 76 minutes of football before succumbing to an eye injury. His effort and 'never say die' attitude particularly in defence was a stand out among onlookers and selectors.
The Southern Stars took on the Greater Northern Tigers, which consisted of players from as far as Tamworth to Scone. The Stars were to strong and were eventual run out winners 38 points to 16.
The Stars now take on the Riverina Region which is said to be a big ask, but there up for the challenge.
The team will be named in the next coming days and if selected Todd will run out along side life long best mate and former Narooma boy in Michael 'Letty' Lett, who now features for Group 6's Picton Magpies.
The final will be played at Collegians Sports Centre, Wollongong on Saturday, June 4. The game will also be live streamed via Bar Sports TV. The community of Narooma are behind you Todd and we wish you the very best of luck!!
