The 2017 Cobargo Show was officially opened on Saturday morning with events continuing all weekend.
The day started out hot with the showground benefiting from the recent rain, with more cloudy skies threatening as the officially opening took place.
Royal Agricultural Society of NSW president Robert Ryan welcomed everyone to the show and commented how good the showground looked.
“The committee is to be congratulated for the wonderful presentation of the showground,” Mr Ryan said.
Also speaking the opening was State Member Andrew Constance, attending with wife Jennifer, who said it was great to see so many people at the show.
Mr Constance also congratulated the show committee for putting on excellent event and using government grants to make the showgrounds into what they are today.
Show Society president Graham Parr then told everyone to have a great time and enjoy the show.
Making the rounds and performing their official duties were Junior Showgirl Sarah Alderton, Showgirl runner-up Grace Whitby and Showgirl Vanessa Gates.
The Cobargo Show continues this evening with 57 competitors lined up for the campdrafting, and of course there is a full day of events on Sunday.
