Zombies in Narooma? Could it be true? Yes, it is true, but only in the creative minds of the talented staff and students of Narooma High School. Think of the fun the students will have with makeup and costumes!
Zombio and Screamiette is the latest original musical from the Music and Drama Department at Narooma High School.
For the last two terms in 2016 staff and students worked on a new script complete with original music. There will be three performances, including two matinees for high school students and local primary school students and a night time show for parents, friends and members of the public.
The night show will be on Thursday, May 4 at 7pm.
The show promises to be a madcap journey through Shakespeare’s England...except with a difference. In Shakespeare’s play Romeo and Juliet, the young heroes die at the end of the story. Not so in this latest version.
In this retelling of Shakespeare’s tale Romeo and Juliet become zombies and search for the author so he can write them a happy ending. You heard it right, Romeo and Juliet as zombies.
Yes folks, it’s a comedy…. with a few scary zombie bits thrown in to add to the excitement.
The show promises to be spectacular live entertainment with dazzling lights, exciting costumes, great special effects, a full band, dancing troupe and singers.
There will be nine songs, three of them written by Narooma High School students. The other songs include old favourites like Highway to Hell, Thriller and The Monster Mash. It is an original story written especially for the cast and musicians.
Please put the date May 4 into your diaries and calendars for an unforgettable night of ghoulish and rocking comedy.
