Widespread support from sponsors and volunteers made this year’s Narooma Oyster Festival “a huge success” according to Festival Committee chairman Niels Bendixsen.
“It’s an expensive event to put on, especially Friday night’s free community concert and fireworks. Sponsors make it possible,” he said.
Volunteers were spread across the site ensuring the event ran smoothly, helping run events like the Ultimate Oyster Experience, the shucking competition and cooking demonstrations.
“We also had our plumbing and electrical contractors who volunteered their time working to ensure the site’s infrastructure worked,” Mr Bendixsen said.
“On behalf of the Narooma Chamber of Commerce, I thank them all. We’re now looking forward to everyone’s support next year.”
