
Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash on the Cobargo-Bermagui Rd that occurred early Thursday morning.
It’s believe the two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision one kilometre east of Cobargo around 6.30am, Thursday, July 6.
The road is currently (8.30am) closed to traffic in both directions as police and emergency services await the arrival of specialist crash scene investigators.
The drivers of both vehicles involved have been taken to hospital, with their condition unknown at this stage. A police spokeswoman said mandatory blood and alcohol testing will take place, with no indication as yet as to who or what was the cause of the crash.
Motorists are urged to avoid the Cobargo-Bermagui Rd for several hours, with diversions to Dignams Creek or along the coast road south the main thoroughfares to use.
