A large crane toppled over onto its side while assisting with a tree-lopping operation on Clarke Street, Narooma at about 2pm on Friday afternoon.
Fortunately, there were no injuries from the accident, despite one of the tree loppers being up in trees at the time, according to witness reports.
Neighbours heard the ground shake as the crane fell over and a rental property sustained damage as the crane boom came crashing down. Nobody was in the house at the time.
The crane was lifting a large section of tree when it appeared to overbalance and fall down onto its side, according to witnesses.
Narooma police were on scene taking statements and Workcover was due to arrive for an investigation.
