Played as part of the Sapphire Coast AFL’s mega-round, three senior men’s games went ahead at Bermagui’s Dickinson Oval, with the Lions showcasing why they’re sitting on top of the tables.
The Lions claimed a text book win over their rivals 21-13-139 to the Diggers’ 9-8-62.
The opening quarter was hotly contested, but the Lions were able to squeeze in a couple of extra shots on goal to lead 27-16, then pressing the attack to lead by 21 points at the main break. Narooma’s pace shone as they piled on goals in the second half to seal the strong win.
