Teacher Rob Russack and the team of 11 Year 5 and 6 students will be heading up to Sydney on Tuesday to play in the seven-a-side tackle matches against the State’s other best school league sides.
Narooma will play four other schools, also winners of their regional qualifying matches. To qualify, Narooma last term won the Michael Weyman Shield held at Cobargo where they beat teams from Tathra and Eden.
They will plan to have a barbecue on Tuesday night at Lane Cove tourist park where they are staying with meat provided by local butcher Jeff Rapley.
Captain Kye Kelly said he was confident the team of 10 boys and one girl, Halle Constable, will do well against their opposition.
