Captain Libby was incredible in all her positions with Lily winning the $5 Narooma ice-creamery voucher for a positive attitude and great communication. Well done girls, you all did amazingly well
The U/12 Narooma Comets played their last game before the finals against Tuross. With only one reserve, Narooma were looking to consolidate last week's win.
Ruby Effraemson fell early in the first quarter and sustained a double wrist fracture. Her excellence in goal defence will be missed during the finals.
Our girls continued to improve throughout the game and were leading Tuross into the last quarter, when Lillyan further injured an already jarred finger and had to leave the court.
The Comets continued to play with only six players, but fortunately Narooma had a handy lead and their fitness and skill ensured a final winning score of 27-14.
The Narooma Flames played the BMG Fireflies. The Flames were without two key players which was always going to make for a tough day at the office.
The BMG Fireflies came out strong in the first quarter, but with some strategic positional changes, the Flames fought back in the second quarter, with only three points separating the two teams at half time.
Unfortunately, in the championship quarters, the BMG Fireflies strengthened their lead to take the game 32-17.
