On Thursday, October 12, Dalmeny Narooma Bushwalkers explored around Lake Mummuga before following the Old Highway to Duesburys Road and the walking path to George Noble Park. Here we thanked Maggie Finch for this lovely 11km walk.
The walk around the foreshore was enjoyable, with the old roads showing a mixture of coastal trees and vegetation followed by the beaches and cliffs of the boardwalk back to the park.
On Saturday, October 14, the bushwalkers walked through Paradise Point. This beautiful area on Freshwater Bay, Wagonga Inlet, Narooma has many varied vegetation and trees. The rainforest pockets are showing the absence of rain, but the orchids around the rocky outcrops are in full bloom, and the distant views towards Montague and Narooma township are a joy to look from.
The old telephone cable track leads past Walkers Rock, which provides excellent views of Dromedary and Peak Alone with their surrounding valleys and ridges. Heather Ferguson was thanked by Amanda Marsh on behalf of group for leading us on this 11km journey.
