THURSDAY 12th OCTOBER
An excellent field of 148 players enjoyed fine conditions and good scoring where the DSR emerged as a consistent 71. In A Grade Andrew Thompson registered 41 points off his handicap of 10 to relegate Bob Knipler and Justin Bennett to the minor places on 40 points. In B Grade Chris Hewitt at last overcame injury problems with 41 points off a handicap of 13, albeit on a countback from Kevin Seamons. Vince Harper took third place with 39 points. In C Grade Alby Donnelly recorded the best score of the day with 42 points off his handicap of 22, one point ahead of Graham Mumme and two ahead of Dennis Fry. The nearest-the-pin winners were Ian Miller on 3, Brian Mills on 9, Geoff Lanham on 14 and David Hayward on 17, while the ball competition went down to all on 34 points.
SATURDAY 14th OCTOBER
A field of 122 played in the final individual stroke competition of the year which decides the Limon Gold Medal for the winners of the various monthly medals. Scoring was again very good to a consistent DSR of 71. In A Grade Neil Towers recorded a net 71 off his handicap of 10 to win the grade and the Limon Gold Medal. Steve Marsden registered the same score but was headed on countback while Jason Andrew took third place with 72 on countback from Matt Corbett and Bill Durnan. Peter O'Kane had the best score of the day with a net 66 off a handicap of 19 to win B Grade by one shot from Scott Clarke from Wiseman's Ferry . Greg Riley filled the third placing with net 68 on countback from Michael Wuttke-Hayes. In C Grade Rene Faurschou had his first victory for some time with net 68 off a handicap of 28, one shot better than Peter Wilson and two better Than Anthony Monaghan from Oatlands who headed Alex Gardner on countback. The nearest-the-pin winners were Robbie Brown on 3, Terry O'Callaghan on 9, Bob Steel on 14 and Les Campbell on 17 while the ball competition went down to net 74, the lowest it has been for a considerable time in stroke rounds.
SUNDAY 15th OCTOBER
The mother-and-son combination of Dorelle and William Monteith won the Mixed Foursomes Championships with 88 gross, six shots ahead of the father-and-daughter pairing of Chris and Sophie Brown, while David and Maureen Hayward took out the handicap with net 72 on countback from Frank Clarke and Kay Lawrence

Monday 9th October was a 4BBB Stableford round and the winners on the day were Dagmar Kastowsky and Prue Barron with 44 points. The runner-ups were Di Williamson and Loraine Gibbons with 43 points.
Wednesday 11th October was a Par Event and our annual Breast Cancer Research Fund-Raising Day. It was also the 2017 Season Closing Day. The Division 1 winner was Jan Boxsell and the Division 2 winner was Di Williamson. A cheque for over $2200 was sent to the Breast Cancer Institute being monies raised on the day, together with donations to our breast cancer 3 putt jar over the year.

Results for Thursday 12th October 2017. 62 players teed off in a Stableford competition.
The double deckers travelled well today with Derek Nash (hcp 12) taking the A grade win on 37 and Derek Quinto (hcp 12) runner up on 35 points. Third to Lindsay Sharp (hcp 9) on 34.
Jim Manton (hcp 16) continued his stellar performances romping home for the B grade win with 45 points. Next came Dave Webster (hcp 17) scoring 37 and Michael Derbyshire (hcp 19) on 35.
Michael Murray (hcp 25) came home with 40 points to win C grade shading David Barbour (hcp 22) on 39. Then came George Kowalski (hcp 36) also on 39.
NTP’s 6th Peter Buttrey, 8th Bobbie Finch, 11th Derek Quinto and 15th Paul Rumble.

Foursomes Championship 27 holes stroke
Congratulations go to our captains past and present Ray Stephens and Derek Quinto who are this year’s Foursomes Champions returning home with a gross score of 137.
Runners up in gross were the very competitive teaming of Bill McKenzie and Willow Lalao coming home one shot back on 138.
In a magical display of their finely honed golfing skills Bill Tyson and Greg Cummins took out the Nett win returning home with a score of 105.25.
Runners up in Nett were BCC Manager Robert Beuzeville and George Kowalski with a score of 111.

1. Bermagui Legends Pro-Am. Here is your opportunity to play with a PGA Legend.
On Monday 23rd and Tuesday 24th October Bermagui will be hosting a round of the PGA Legends Tour.
We currently have over 80 professional golfers registered to play including 2 times Australian Open winner Peter Senior, plus Roger Davis and Mike Harwood who were both runners up in the British Open.
Shotgun starts on both days. There are great prizes to be won by men and lady amateurs.

2. Saturday 21st October will be the very popular Captain’s versus President’s team 4BBB Medley Stableford. Shotgun start 9-00 for 9-30am. Drinks and BBQ to follow.
3. The Far South Coast Vets play at Bermagui on Friday 27 th October which will include their AGM.
4. Join us on Sundays for our regular 9 hole Dad’s Army hit out or Mondays for the 9 hole Chook Run competition.
