Our Kianga bushwalk on Thursday, February 8, was led by the president of the Dalmeny Narooma Bushwalkers, Jan Thomas and the walk was 6km of exploring our beautiful coast.

Starting off from Anton's at Kianga we walked along Carters Beach and climbed onto Kianga Point for the views north and south along the coast.
This area of Carters and Bar Beach is beautiful, and we enjoyed the early morning views of the large waves pounding the beach.
Instead of continuing along Bar Beach we walk past the duck pond and through Apex Park to Wagonga Head and saw the big waves surging through the Wagonga Head bar with a few seals playing around.
The boardwalk was next through to Mill Bay and from the old Bodalla Company Wharf site we walked along Williamson Drive which is where the horse-drawn tram came down from Bodalla along a wooden tramway in the early 1880s and early 1890s. From Williamson Drive we used the pathway onto Warbler Crescent.
Near here is where we arrived at a beautiful garden which we could explore and ask questions from the garden grower and keeper, Jo Jean-Mairet.
After this lovely garden exploratory we made our way back to Anton's for coffee and eats before heading home.
