Narooma Health Group was able to provide Moruya Cancer Carers with a cheque for $1000 in support of this local work.
Mr Pollock shared stories about how the community came together to bring about the new Moruya Oncology Unit.
“I enjoyed meeting a great bunch ladies,” he said. “It’s just another example of how wide the community support is for this ongoing cause.”
Funds raised by the Moruya Cancer Carers is used to purchase equipment as needed for the Moruya Oncology Unit and to improve the amenity of the facility, he said.
Narooma Health Group was formed to provide affordable and reliable weight loss meetings for the community.
They are a social and support group and meet 4pm every Wednesday at the Narooma Community Health Centre. Fees are $2 per meeting. No charge or pressure for missed meetings.
