Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter CEO Stephen Leahy said the crew of three were ready to help with search and rescue operations.
"The crew went down yesterday to assist with evacuations and help police with operational support," Mr Leahy said.
"They're helping again today."
He said the team – pilot, air-crew officer, and rescue-officer – were ready to support any search and rescue operation.
"We are here to assist," Mr Leahy said.
"We get so much support from this community ... now we really want to support the community in their time of need."
